Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Homewood's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If Parker wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Homewood, they should've done a better job of containing Kaleb Carson. The Homewood Patriots put the hurt on the Parker Thundering Herd with a sharp 78-57 victory on Friday thanks in part to Carson, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Latham Binkley, who went 6 of 7 en route to 17 points and eight boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played.

Homewood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Homewood has already played their next match (against Hayden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Parker will face off against Minor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
