Volleyball Recap: McAllen Comes Up Short

McAllen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Hill Panthers.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15.

Liberty Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydney Starritt, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Starritt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charisa Tuley, who had ten digs and five assists.

McAllen's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Liberty Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McAllen will face off against Rowe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Hill, they will challenge Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
