Baseball Recap: Adams County Christian Takes a Loss

Adams County Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Copiah Academy Colonels. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 24-5 to the Colonels when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ethan Givens stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored a run while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Colton Rabb, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Adams County Christian's record now sits at 9-8. As for Copiah Academy, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Colonels beat Adams County Christian by a score of 13-9 later that day.
