Volleyball Recap: Katy Taylor Comes Up Short

Katy Taylor extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 11-11. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the College Station Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

As for College Station, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since August 28th.

Haley Nash had an outrageously good game as she had 22 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had over her last four matchups. Blair Thiebaud also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Katy Taylor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Clear Brook on the 4th. As for College Station, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kingwood Park on the 4th.
