Sunlake's loss ends four-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Sunlake Seahawks vs. North Tampa Christian Academy Titans

It was a good run, but the Sunlake Seahawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were dealt a 83-37 loss at the hands of North Tampa Christian Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sunlake has scored all season.

Toni Bryant was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds for North Tampa Christian Academy. Bryant is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landyn Colyer, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Sunlake's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Sunlake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Petersburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they will square off against Williston at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
