Game recap: Caledonia-Mumford High School Football Team wins against Le Roy

CALEDONIA, N.Y. - Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, N.Y.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as they scored a touchdown with 5:00 remaining, bringing the team to victory over Le Roy (N.Y.) 34-29.

After trailing 14-12 at the half, the Knights went ahead on a Mike McMullen touchdown pass to Jon Pierce with 11:00 remaining in the third.

By the end of the third, Caledonia-Mumford found itself trailing by six points as Le Roy captured the lead thanks to three scores in the quarter. LR scored on a McMullen touchdown pass to Pierce, a touchdown pass by McMullen to Ryan McQuillen and a two-point conversion in the quarter.

The Knights came in giving up 12.3 points per game this season.



CM avenged last year's 19-12 loss to Le Roy with the victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for Le Roy, which notched a 13-0 victory over Wellsville in its previous outing. With the win the Caledonia school extended its winning streak to three games.
