Softball Recap: Cornell Comes Up Short

Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fort Cherry Rangers, falling 12-2.

Cornell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Fort Cherry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Cornell will look to defend their home field on Thursday against New Brighton at 3:30 p.m. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fort Cherry, they are taking a road trip to face off against Carlynton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
