Basketball Game Preview: Salida Spartans vs. Strasburg Indians

Having just played yesterday, the Salida Spartans will jump right back in to play the Strasburg Indians at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Salida knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Strasburg likes a good challenge.

Salida is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 79-70 victory over Lotus School For Excellence.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Strasburg against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on Friday as the squad secured an 81-29 win. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Salida better keep an eye on Tyce Bollers. He was instrumental in Strasburg's win, shooting 57% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards Bollers has posted since back in January of 2024. Nick Glatfelter was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Strasburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They are 19-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Salida is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points over those games. The victory made it two in a row for Strasburg and bumps their season record up to 20-4.
