While Granada might've come up empty on Wednesday, Alex Piscotty wasn't going down without a fight. Piscotty wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. The pitching appearance was his seventh straight with two or fewer walks.

Even though Piscotty couldn't lead Granada over Foothill, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Piscotty's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Matadors' 23-game streak of wins on the road.
