Softball Recap: Bergen Tech's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Bergen Tech came into Monday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Westampton Tech Panthers on Monday, sneaking past 17-15. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 11-9 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Bergen Tech let Ryleigh Lange and Elizabeth Ki run wild. Lange went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Ki went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two doubles gave Lange a new career-high. Natalie Wexler was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bergen Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bergen Tech now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Westampton Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bergen Tech will welcome Passaic County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westampton Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Florence Township Memorial at 3:45 p.m.
