While West Central Area's win against Montevideo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Thunderhawks on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Thunderhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Lily Mahoney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Brinley Ulrich was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Addison Staples was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

West Central Area now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Montevideo, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Central Area will head out to challenge Brandon/Evansville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montevideo, they will welcome Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
