Soccer Game Preview: Dillon vs. Darlington

The Dillon Wildcats will face off against the Darlington Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dillon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Dillon's offense. They came up short against Waccamaw on Friday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Dillon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Waccamaw are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Darlington came up short against South Florence on Friday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for Darlington in their meetings with South Florence: they've now lost nine in a row.

Darlington now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Dillon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Dillon might still be hurting after the 6-3 loss they got from Darlington when the teams last played back in February. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 5-1.
