Oakridge suffers sixth straight loss on the road

Recap: Oakridge Owls vs. Fort Worth Country Day Falcons

The Oakridge Owls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Fort Worth Country Day 46-40. Oakridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fort Worth Country Day apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Oakridge still got an impressive performance from Mike Mcdaniels, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcdaniels has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Williams, who scored six points.

Oakridge's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Fort Worth Country Day, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakridge will take on St. Mark's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mark's will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Fort Worth Country Day, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Trinity Valley at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
