Baseball Game Preview: Toledo Christian Eagles vs. Cardinal Stritch Cardinals

For the second straight game, Toledo Christian will face off against Cardinal Stritch. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Toledo Christian has three straight wins, Cardinal Stritch has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Toledo Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Cardinal Stritch on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Hamilton (White Uniform) was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Carter Kirsch also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Cardinal Stritch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Toledo Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
