Basketball Recap: Sandoval Takes a Loss

Sandoval was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Woodlawn Cardinals 70-34. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 623rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 188th).

Sandoval's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Woodlawn, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Sandoval will square off against Zeigler-Royalton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodlawn, they will take on Altamont at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
