Richmond beats Scotland for their fourth straight win

Recap: Richmond Raiders vs. Scotland Fighting Scots

The Richmond Raiders entered their tilt with the Scotland Fighting Scots with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Richmond came out on top against Scotland by a score of 35-28 on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Richmond was the better team in the second half.

Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Domonic Tillman, who threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. JV Drake was in the mix too, providing Richmond with two touchdowns.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zay Jones. Despite the final result, he rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns. Jones is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ji'san Mcphatter, who rushed for 81 yards on only ten carries.

Richmond has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Scotland, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Richmond will head out on the road to face off against Leesville Road at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scotland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky Mount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
