Alameda put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the STEM School Highlands Ranch Spartans. Fans of the Pirates have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Alameda found their leader in sophomore Lilliana Casias, who went 6 of 14 en route to 13 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Minerva Santos, who posted four points along with five boards and four steals.

Alameda smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Alameda pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.3 points per game. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-33 victory against DSST: College View on the 16th. STEM School Highlands Ranch will take on Sheridan in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. STEM School Highlands Ranch is facing Sheridan at the right time seeing as Sheridan is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
