Volleyball Game Preview: Green Hill Hawks vs. Beech Buccaneers

The Green Hill Hawks will square off against the Beech Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

On Thursday, Green Hill got the win against Hendersonville by a conclusive 3-0.

Green Hill walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12, 25-18.

Green Hill relied on the efforts of Chloe Carter, who had 13 assists and five aces, and Abbie Lyttle, who had five digs and five assists. Carter has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last eight times she's played. Julia Cleveland also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Green Hill was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Beech not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Hendersonville with a sharp 3-0 win.

Beech's victory bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Green Hill, their win bumped their record up to 24-3.

Green Hill took their victory against Beech in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Buccaneers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
