Volleyball Recap: Golden Valley Comes Up Short

Golden Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves, falling 3-0.

While Golden Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Aolani Lefotu and Aileen Lopez, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Esmeralda Frausto and her nine assists.

Wonderful College Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniela Macias, who had 14 kills, five digs, and three aces. Rebecca Gonzalez was another key player, getting 23 digs.

Golden Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
