Volleyball Recap: Middletown North Comes Up Short

Middletown North lost against Holmdel back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Hornets. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Middletown North's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Holmdel, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Middletown North will venture away from home to square off against Marlboro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holmdel, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Asbury Park on the 25th.
