Recap: Timothy Christian Trojans vs. Yorkville Christian Mustangs
The Timothy Christian Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yorkville Christian.
Timothy Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Taylor Parker and Mia Schilf. Parker scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Schilf scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parker has scored all season.
It was another big night for Danielle Bulson, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds for Yorkville Christian. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Wallin, who scored 12 points.
Timothy Christian's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Yorkville Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Timothy Christian will be playing at home against Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marian Central Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Timothy Christian in Illinois (Marian Central Catholic is ranked 63rd, while Timothy Christian is ranked 398th). As for Yorkville Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Aurora Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
