Basketball Recap: Montague Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Montague duked it out withGrant on Tuesday. The Montague Wildcats were outmatched by the Grant Tigers and fell 80-35. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Tigers are ranked 188th).

Montague dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Grant, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montague will square off against Ludington at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Grant, they are taking a road trip to challenge Chippewa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
