Northwestern Area entered their tilt with Ipswich on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northwestern Area had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

Kylee Henjum paced Northwestern Area's offense, picking up 21 kills. Henjum got some help from Ella Boekelheide and her 26 assists. Boekelheide was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Northwestern Area's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Ipswich, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Northwestern Area has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Leola/Frederick on the 23rd. As for Ipswich, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Herreid/Selby on the 20th.
