Basketball Recap: Rhodes Takes a Loss

After flying high against John F. Kennedy last Friday, Rhodes came back down to earth. The Rhodes Rams lost to the Glenville Tarblooders at home by a 63-48 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Tarblooders: they've now lost four in a row.

Leading Glenville to victory were Xavier Vickerstaff and Theo Castro. Vickerstaff posted 17 points and six rebounds, while Castro earned 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Amir Lessears, who put up nine points and three steals.

Rhodes' defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Glenville, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Rhodes will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. As for Glenville, they will venture away from home to take on Strongsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Glenville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
