Volleyball Recap: Don Lugo Takes a Loss

Don Lugo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chaffey Tigers. The Conquistadores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Don Lugo ultimately came up short, they really made Chaffey work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-6, 27-25, 18-25, 15-9.

Don Lugo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Chaffey, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Don Lugo is set to take on their familiar foe Ontario at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chaffey will square off against rival Montclair at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
