Ridgewood has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 2. They lost 8-1 to the Glenbard East Rams on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Ridgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Glenbard East are ranked 62nd).

Ridgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for Glenbard East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ridgewood will take on Riverside-Brookfield at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glenbard East, they will challenge Willowbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Willowbrook will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.
