Basketball Recap: Willcox Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

St. David came into Monday's match looking for another win against Willcox, but Caden Hooper wouldn't allow it. The Willcox Cowboys came out on top against the St. David Tigers by a score of 56-47 on Monday thanks in part to Hooper, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Willcox's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jahir Reyes, who posted five points and six steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Willcox's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-8.
