Wabaunsee came tearing into Tuesday's match with 15 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mission Valley Vikings by a score of 2-0. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Wabaunsee easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14.

Talen Orton paced Wabaunsee's offense, picking up ten kills. Orton got some help from Reese Michaelis and her 12 assists. Michaelis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wabaunsee's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Mission Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 17-11 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Wabaunsee beat the Vikings by a score of 2-0 later that day.
