Volleyball Recap: Pasadena Memorial Triumphs

Pasadena Memorial won the last time they faced Sam Rayburn and things went their way on Friday too. The Mavericks came out on top against the Texans by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

Pasadena Memorial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-20, 27-25.

Pasadena Memorial had a senior duo take command as Lesley Lopez had nine digs and three aces and Dayami Reyes had 16 digs and eight assists. Reyes has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Pasadena Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 10-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Pasadena Memorial's record now sits at 14-23. As for Sam Rayburn, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.
