            Baseball Recap: Lakeland Hornets vs. Pleasantville Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeland). They put the hurt on the Pleasantville Panthers with a sharp  12-2 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their one-run performance the  match before.
 Anthony Frobose made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Lakeland is 2-1 when  Frobose posts eight or  more  strikeouts, but 3-6 otherwise. Frobose was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  Ramzi Done was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lou Vernagallo, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Lakeland moved to 5-7 with that  win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Pleasantville, their defeat was  their third straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 3-5.
Lakeland will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
