Baseball Recap: New Brockton Extends Winning Streak to Three

New Brockton barely beat Northside Methodist Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The New Brockton Gamecocks' pitcher stepped up to hand the Northside Methodist Academy Knights a 10-0 shutout on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Gamecocks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Pope, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Gavin Hand was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

New Brockton's record now sits at 5-2. As for Northside Methodist Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
