Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln School Lynx vs. Achievement First Providence Falcons

Having just played yesterday, the Lincoln School Lynx will get right back to it and host the Achievement First Providence Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln School has seven straight victories, Achievement First Providence has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Lincoln School strolled past North Providence with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. Given the Lynx's advantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Cougars are ranked 28th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Achievement First Providence played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by North Providence 68-9. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Lincoln School pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Achievement First Providence, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
