Recap: Tierra Encantada vs. New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners
Tierra Encantada were the 44-22 winner over the New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tierra Encantada lost to New Mexico School for the Deaf on the road by a decisive 46-31 margin on Tuesday.
Adrien Ercolino was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Alex Lopez - Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Tierra Encantada's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Tierra Encantada will head out on the road to face off against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind at 8:00 a.m. Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 313th in Arizona, while New Mexico School for the Deaf is ranked 156th in New Mexico).
