Volleyball Game Preview: Northgate Broncos vs. Acalanes Dons + Official Tickets

The Northgate Broncos will face off against the Acalanes Dons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Acalanes took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Northgate, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Northgate made easy work of Benicia and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Northgate never let Benicia on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Acalanes and Campolindo had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Dons lost 3-0 to the Cougars on Thursday. The Dons have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Acalanes took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 28-26.

Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Acalanes, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Northgate skirted past Acalanes 3-2 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Broncos repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
