Softball Recap: Clear Springs Beats East Central for Their Third Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Clear Springs rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the East Central Hornets 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Jenna Hashaw tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alana Strever, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brynley Colianni, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Clear Springs hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.

Clear Springs' win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for East Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-13.

As of now, neither Clear Springs nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
