Trinity is 8-1 against Southlake Carroll since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Trinity Trojans will head out to square off against the Southlake Carroll Dragons at 2:15 p.m. Trinity will be strutting in after a victory while Southlake Carroll will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Trinity turned things around against Keller Central on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 59-47.

Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Keller Central last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to the Chargers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dragons came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Chargers are ranked 774th).

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Southlake Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

Trinity took their victory against Southlake Carroll in their previous matchup back in December of 2020 by a conclusive 56-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
