Basketball Recap: Lyman Falls to the Master's Academy in First Game of Season

Lyman had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 45-28 to The Master's Academy Eagles. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Lyman lost, don't look at Samara Oldham. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points.

The Master's Academy was led to victory by Kacey Hopkins and Alexis Roicki. Hopkins dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds, while Roicki dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

The victory got The Master's Academy back to even at 1-1.

Lyman has already played their next matchup, a 42-23 win against Lake Mary Prep on the 20th. As for The Master's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 37-7 victory against Freedom on the 20th.
