Softball Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Vista Grande's offense. They came up short against the Mountain View Mountain Lions on Thursday, falling 7-0. The Spartans have struggled against the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Vista Grande's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista Grande will challenge Sunnyside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain View, they will face off against Casa Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountain Lions will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
