Volleyball Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Has No Trouble Against Leroy-Ostrander

Lyle/Pacelli hadn't done well against LeRoy-Ostrander recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Athletics were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. For the Athletics, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Lyle/Pacelli never let LeRoy-Ostrander on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 25-14.

Jacey Bednar paced Lyle/Pacelli's offense, picking up seven kills. Bednar got some help from Autumn Drennan and her 15 assists.

Lyle/Pacelli has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lyle/Pacelli has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Grand Meadow on the 2nd. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Southland on the 2nd.
