Carrollton and Minerva are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carrollton proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over New Philadelphia.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (109-99) Carrollton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 26-24, 20-25, 12-25, 25-21, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Minerva came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Minerva's record now sits at 13-9. As for Carrollton, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Carrollton couldn't quite get it done against Minerva in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
