Football Recap: Rich Skates Past Whitehorse with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Rich rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Whitehorse Raiders 50-8. The matchup marked the Rebels' most dominant win of the season.

Jett Holmes produced another solid performance rushing for 81 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Wilkes Weston, who rushed for 78 yards on only seven carries.

Rich's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Whitehorse's QB won't forget Rylan Gough anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Rich got some further help from Karter Groll: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The victory was the third in a row for Rich, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Whitehorse, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coming up, Rich will face off against Milford at 1:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 7.7 points per game this season, so the Rebels' offense will have their work cut out for them. Whitehorse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
