The Kankakee Valley Kougars are taking a road trip to square off against the Harrison Raiders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Kankakee Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

The result came thanks to Lilly Kiefer's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashley Dunk, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Alex Waitkoff also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Kankakee Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Harrison, their record now sits at 7-10.
