Basketball Recap: Brenna Leach's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shenandoah over Philo

Shenandoah suffered their closest defeat since January 24, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Philo Electrics by a score of 56-54. The Zeps were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Electrics apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Zeps players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brenna Leach, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Leach is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Snyder, who posted ten points along with six assists and five boards.

Shenandoah's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6. As for Philo, their record is now 7-10.

Shenandoah will welcome Barnesville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shenandoah is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. Philo has already played their next contest (against West Muskingum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
