Basketball Recap: Hannah Cratic's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Miller County over Mitchell County

Miller County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mitchell County Eagles, falling 56-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-38 back in January.

Miller County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Cratic, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 15 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Cratic has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Rhianna Smith was another key player, putting up seven points.

Miller County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Mitchell County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Miller County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-15 win against Pataula Charter Academy on the 5th. Mitchell County has also already played their next matchup, a 60-35 loss against Randolph-Clay on the 5th.
