Baseball Preview: Golden Valley Grizzlies vs. Canyon Cowboys
Golden Valley and Canyon are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Golden Valley Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Canyon Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Golden Valley can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Canyon. The victory was just what Golden Valley needed coming off of a 21-0 loss in their prior game.
Bryce Gayles was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tyler Tait, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The win got Golden Valley back to even at 7-7-1. As for Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
