Softball Recap: Augustine Prep Comes Up Short

Augustine Prep couldn't beat New Berlin West on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Lions came up short against the Vikings, falling 19-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Augustine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Berlin West, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Augustine Prep will take on Milwaukee Riverside at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Berlin West, they will square off against Pewaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
