Softball Recap: Moriarty Takes a Loss

Moriarty lost to Los Alamos on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pintos came up short against the Hilltoppers, falling 18-8. The Pintos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Rutz was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Kristina Means was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Moriarty's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Los Alamos, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

As of now, neither Moriarty nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
