Basketball Recap: Meeteetse Triumphs

If Arvada-Clearmont wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Meeteetse, they should've done a better job of containing Max Potas. The Meeteetse Longhorns breezed by the Arvada-Clearmont Panthers to the tune of 52-13 on Saturday thanks in part to Potas, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. His morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Yoder, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

Meeteetse now has a winning record of 2-1.

Meeteetse is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Shoshoni at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Arvada-Clearmont, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-14 defeat against Riverside on the 14th.
