The Holy Spirit Prep Cougars suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-32 walloping at the hands of Dominion Christian. Holy Spirit Prep has struggled against Dominion Christian recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Dominion Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elizabeth Johnson out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Vreken, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Holy Spirit Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which lines up perfectly with their 2-10 record this season. As for Dominion Christian, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Holy Spirit Prep will head out on the road to square off against Fulton Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fulton Science Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Dominion Christian will take on Shiloh Hills Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shiloh Hills Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
