Softball Recap: Marcellus' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Hartford on Monday, Marcellus came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Carlyn Deer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Allyson Wright also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Marcellus' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Hartford, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marcellus will head out to challenge Decatur at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartford, they will venture away from home to take on Bridgman at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
